Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Mike Thompson is pleased to announce the annual Congressional Art Competition. He invites all high school students in the First Congressional District to submit their original artwork for consideration.

The winner’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. In addition, the winner will be invited to a ceremony in Washington, D.C. this June and will receive three roundtrip airline tickets to Washington from either San Francisco or Oakland.

“This competition is a wonderful way to recognize the rich artistic talent of our local students,” said Thompson. “I encourage all of our high-school-aged artists to submit a piece, and I look forward to seeing the creativity of their work.”
