Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-5) today announced more than $3.9 million to improve Lakeport's drinking water system. $3,182,000 will be provided to Lakeport though a loan to be repaid over 40 years at a low interest rate of 1.875 percent. $750,000 will be provided to Lakeport through a grant.
