Help with a Federal Agency: An important part of Congressman Thompson's job is helping residents of California's 5th Congressional District navigate the complex federal agency system. Our office may be able to assist if you are having trouble working with the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the IRS, or any other federal agency.

Visit Our Nation's Capitol: Congressman Thompson and his staff are committed to making your trip to our nation's capital a memorable one. Our office can help arrange tours of many of Washington, D.C.'s most popular attractions.

Flag Requests: Constituents of California's 5th Congressional District can order a United States flag through my Washington office. You may even choose to have your new flag flown over the United States Capitol. Visit this page to learn more and place your order.

Academy Nominations: Each year, Congressman Thompson can nominate outstanding high school graduates from the 5th Congressional District of California for appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland; the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York.
