Academy Nominations

Each year, Congressman Thompson nominates outstanding high school graduates from California's Fourth Congressional District for appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland; the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York.

High school seniors or unmarried high school graduates who are 22 years old or younger may request a nomination packet by submitting a letter of interest to my Santa Rosa District Office or calling (707) 542-7182. Please note: applications for the 2026-2027 cycle are not yet open.
