Mike Thompson represents California's 4th Congressional District. The district includes all or parts of Lake, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo Counties. Thompson is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means where he serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Tax and serves as a senior member of the Health Subcommittee.
He is a member of the powerful House Committee on Ways and Means.

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement today in response to the President’s strikes against Iran:
“In the dead of night, President Trump started an unauthorized, unconstitutional war with Iran. As a combat veteran, I know the terrible realities of war and I am deeply opposed to any unprovoked strikes carried out without Congressional authorization — authorization that is explicitly required by our constitution.
Sonoma, CA – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) announced that he has helped secure $2,496,686.63 in federal grant funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for the Sonoma Ecology Center to advance their floodplain restoration project in Sonoma Creek. This investment will support work at three high-priority restoration sites in Glen Ellen to help reduce flood risk for local communities while restoring critical habitat for steelhead and other threatened species.
