Thompson Announces 2023 Napa County Woman of the Year
Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) announced that Fran Lemos was chosen as the 2023 Napa County Woman of the Year. Every year, Rep. Thompson selects inspiring women from California’s Fourth District to recognize their contributions and efforts over the last year.
“Fran Lemos has been an active member of the American Canyon community ever since she moved there in 1948,” said Thompson. “Fran played an essential role in starting American Canyon’s Chamber of Commerce and Community and Parks Foundation, helping local businesses thrive and reinvigorating the outdoor landscape of the city. Her community service makes her the perfect choice of the Woman of the Year. She attends every city meeting and community event to show her support, and I am proud to honor her as Woman of the Year for all that she does for American Canyon.”
The Woman of the Year Recognition Ceremony was started in honor of Women’s History Month to recognize the service of women in our community.
