Thompson Announces 2023 Solano County Woman of the Year
Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) announced that Alexis Koefoed was chosen as the 2023 Solano County Woman of the Year. Every year, Rep. Thompson selects inspiring women from California’s Fourth District to recognize their contributions and efforts over the last year.

“Alexis Koefoed is an advocate and community leader for farmers throughout our community,” said Thompson. “Her extensive work with local farmers and agricultural non-profits like the Pleasants Valley Agriculture Association has directly impacted the lives of so many and helped them establish their businesses. Alexis is a farmer whose farm, the Soul Food Farm, is a hub for local farmers to bring them together, while providing a place to sell their produce. She has been a strong advocate for farmer’s needs at the state and national levels, and she is the perfect example of the Woman of the Year.”
The Woman of the Year Recognition Ceremony was started in honor of Women’s History Month to recognize the service of women in our community.
