Washington – Today Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that Isaac Ellis has been selected as the 2021 App Challenge winner for the Fifth Congressional District for his app Space Adventure V, a video game app.

"The Congressional App Challenge is an excellent opportunity for students in our communities to further their interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering and math. Congratulations to Isaac Ellis for his winning app, Space Adventure V," said Thompson. "His design will be on display throughout the upcoming year in our nation's Capitol and on the House website. We are proud he will represent our district!"

Each year, each Member of the U.S. House Representatives hosts a district-wide Congressional App Challenges for middle school and high school students, encouraging them to learn to code and inspiring them to pursue careers in computer science. Students submit their original apps for a chance to win and be put on display in the US Capitol Building for one year.
