Contra Costa County, CA – Today Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) formally announced Tranzena "Kandie" Jones as this year's Woman of the Year in Contra Costa County. Each year, Thompson honors women from the Fifth Congressional District who make exceptional contributions to our community.
"Kandie served our nation in uniform and then continued to serve her fellow veterans when she returned home.
