WAP home retrofitting includes installing insulation, updating heating and cooling systems, upgrading electrical appliances, and making other common-sense changes to help fireproof homes.

The American Rescue Plan exempted from taxation $10,200 of unemployment benefits paid in 2020, but due to delays at the California Employment Development Department (EDD), many taxpayers did not receive one or more payments until calendar year 2021, leading many constituents with an unfair tax liability on their 2022 returns.
