St. Helena, CA – Sunday, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) recognized Cinthya Cisneros as the 2025 American Dream Award recipient for Napa County. Thompson presents the American Dream Award during Immigrant Heritage Month to residents of California’s Fourth District who have come to the United States and made outstanding contributions to our communities.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling narrowing the power of district court judges to issue nationwide injunctions blocking federal government policies, including the President’s order to end birthright citizenship:

“The Supreme Court's ruling today will fundamentally change how Americans can get immediate relief from unlawful and unjust actions. Everyday Americans should be afforded protections while cases go through our legal system. 

Washington, D.C. – This week, Representative Mike Thompson (CA-04) joined a dozen Members of the California Congressional Delegation to send a letter to the House Appropriations Committee calling for the Committee to reject the Trump Administration’s drastic cuts to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

Mike Thompson (CA-04) led 18 of his California Democratic colleagues to call on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to initiate an investigation into the unlawful and unnecessary federalization of the California National Guard in Los Angeles.

Mike Thompson (CA-04) led a formal letter to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson urging him to reconvene the House of Representatives so Congress can be thoroughly briefed on the evolving situation in the Middle East and fulfill its Constitutional responsibilities related to any potential authorization of military force. This letter comes following statements from President Trump indicating the United States is seriously considering military action in Iran.
