Mike Thompson represents California's 4th Congressional District. The district includes all or parts of Lake, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo Counties. Thompson is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means where he serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Tax and serves as a senior member of the Health Subcommittee.

He is a member of the powerful House Committee on Ways and Means.

Napa, CA – On Saturday, March 7, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) and Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry recognized the 2026 Student Leadership Council graduates at an end-of-year graduation ceremony held at the Napa County Health & Human Services Agency. Rep. Thompson and Assembly Majority Leader Aguiar-Curry spoke to the class and presented graduating students with certificates marking their achievement serving on the Council.

Napa, CA — Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-04) applauded the City of Napa’s new anaerobic digestion system, a transformative clean energy project that will convert organic waste into renewable natural gas to power the city’s garbage and recycling trucks. The project is utilizing federal clean energy tax incentives secured by Congressman Thompson under the Inflation Reduction Act, including the 30% Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and an additional 10% Domestic Content Bonus Credit.

Yuba-Sutter Region, California – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA-04), Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Rep. David Valadao (R-CA-22) led a bipartisan group of 38 colleagues to request Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins issue assistance to peach farmers in Yuba and Sutter Counties. Following the closure of Del Monte processing facility in Modesto, countless peach growers in the region are facing widespread contract cancellations and lack a viable path to mitigate their losses.
