Washington – Today Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) voted to pass H.R. 2, the Moving Forward Act, which is the House's signature comprehensive transportation and infrastructure package. The legislation includes two of Thompson's bills, the GREEN Act and the Catastrophe Loss Mitigation Incentive and Tax Parity Act. A statement from Thompson is below.

Washington – Today Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that he has introduced H.R. 7412, the Business Interruption Relief Act of 2020. This bill will help sort through the confusion facing many businesses that closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic by creating a voluntary program that would reimburse insurers who voluntarily pay out business interruption claims.

Washington – Today Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05), a senior member of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health, voted to pass H.R. 1425, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act. This bill works to enhance the progress made by the Affordable Care Act, including strengthening the protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
