Congressman Mike Thompson, along with Lake County Board members and other volunteers, won't bring presents from the North Pole to children for Christmas; instead, they are buying them locally for the 17th annual Toys for Kids.

Last year, the toys were purchased at the Clearlake Walmart and this year, the toys will be bought at Funtopia in Middletown.

More than a hundred local area residents packed the Capell Valley Fire Station on Octobr 25th to discuss the future of the Lake Berryessa region. Thanks to the Lake Berryessa Chamber of Commerce for organizing this important meeting.
