Davis, CA – On Friday, Rep. Washington – Ways and Means Tax Subcommittee Ranking Member Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) and Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Mike Kelly (PA-16) re-introduced the bipartisan Mental Health Research Accelerator Act to incentivize private companies with financial resources to collaborate with academic or nonprofit research institutions on neurological and mental health research to tackle the root causes of mental health conditions.

The speakers warned that Congressional Republicans’ plan to cut $880 billion from the budget that funds Medicaid in order to fund tax cuts for the ultra-rich will devastate local access to care for everyone.
