Woodland, CA – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) announced he has secured into law $375,000 in federal funding for Yolo Food Bank’s mobile pantry truck project. The funding will go toward purchasing a truck for Yolo Food Bank to start a mobile pantry program serving Yolo County’s residents.

Napa, CA — Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) today announced that he secured a $6.8 million federal grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to purchase six new Gillig hybrid-electric buses for the Napa Valley Transit Authority’s Vine Transit fleet. The funding comes from the FTA’s Low or No Emission Vehicle Grant Program, which helps communities replace aging buses with cleaner, more efficient transit options.

Washington, D.C. – On Monday, November 17, Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-04) led a group of 34 Members of Congress demanding the U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy reverse the Department’s cancellation of bike and pedestrian infrastructure projects across our country. The group demanded the Department honor existing grant agreements and reaffirm its commitment to building safer, more connected communities.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax Policy Mike Thompson (CA-04), Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Richard E. Neal (MA-01), and the Democratic membership of the Ways & Means Committee announced the introduction of H.R. 5862, the Energy Independence and Affordability Act (EIAA). The EIAA would restore Rep. Thompson’s historic renewable energy tax incentives passed in the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.
