Washington – Last night, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) voted to pass H.R. 7776, the Water Resources Development Act of 2022, legislation that will authorize crucial investments in America's ports, inland waterways, flood management systems, ecosystems, and other water resources infrastructure. WRDA 2022 will support our local economy and keep California competitive, while carrying out projects in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

Thompson introduced this bill alongside House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (NY-10) and Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security Subcommittee Chairwoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18). This bill joins Rep. Thompson's H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, as the most substantial gun violence prevention legislation to pass the House.

St. Helena – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) presented a $1,840,000 check to Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital leaders and Napa County officials for the Napa County Deer Park and St. Helena Hospital water system. This project will improve water infrastructure and increase onsite water storage at Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital, which owns and operates water storage, treatment, and distribution facilities that provide potable water to approximately 660 St. Helena residents and to hospital buildings.
